closing the chapter....for now.

Sean is an amazingly fast healer! It's only been one week and he's acting like this accident never happened. On Day 5 he took out his stitches, then went surfing on Day 6 and 7! It blows my mind how quickly this guy recovers from stuff. He's always said, "can't keep me down" and now I really believe him.

So for now i will close this blog until the next serious injury occurs.

5 Days later

He managed a full day of work yesterday and went to the gym! (He did admit that he fought the dizzy spells off and pressed on through the day) The morning seems worse - more swollen and sore - but by the afternoon/evening it gets better. As you can see by today's pic...his confidence is also back!

and on the 3rd day...

there was an eye ball!!!

The swelling has gone down significantly this evening. Just earlier today he still couldn't open his eyelid up but a sliver, so this is great improvement. Althought this is good, he had no business heading to work today! Only a couple of hours into his day and he surrendered to the fact that battling extreme dizziness every 20 minutes was not going to cut it.

Checking On Dad

The girls just stopped by to see how he was doing. Ty was pretty worried and just needed to see it up close and personal (that way her imagination could stop filling in all the blanks). Madi was wigged out and would wince away, with her tongue out...making that face that only comes natural when confronted by super gross stuff.
Poor daddy.
The not so funny part of all this is that this isn't the 1st time he's injured his eye. Except it was his other eye!!! We may be getting our hands on some of those pics to share & compare... stay tuned!

Checking out his injury

Sean was diggin' his shiner!

(We just hope that his vision isn't impacted...won't know until the swelling goes down) Then again...maybe that could be a good thing?!?
